Popularly known as the “Mushroom City of India” and also for its incredible wildlife and thrilling landscapes, Solan, one of the off-beat destinations in Himachal Pradesh is crammed with so many treasures. To further add it to the “must-experience” list of destinations, Sai Worldwide Travels in association with Solan Hotels-Restaurant- Bar Association is taking a great and first of its kind initiative to familiarize this beautiful to the travel trade fraternity. Starting from March 15 and being organised for three days, this FAM trip majorly aims at positioning Solan as an ideal tourist destination in both international and national markets, as informed by Raminder Bawa, M.D. Sai Worldwide Travels.
“I am sure that through this first ever initiative by the association and Sai Worldwide Travels being the organisers, Solan would get a much better prominence in terms of welcoming more tourists from both India and abroad. Sadly, this city, in spite of being naturally and culturally rich, has not been able to gather much interest of the tourists and most people don’t know about Solan. This attempt by us, solely aims at bringing Solan into the light and pinning this hidden treasure prominently on the tourist map. To ensure people enjoy the best of Solan, we have arranged an array of activities and full day excursions to various top attractions which includes Dharon ki Dhar, Jatoli Mandir, Monestary - Nauni University, Solan Mall Road, Karol ka Tibba, Mohan Shakti Heritage park to name a few. People who come early on March 15 would be among the luckiest to enjoy and take part in several adventure activities like Zip Lining and Valley Crossing. We have also arranged B2B meetings on March 17 where around 25 exhibitors from Solan would be present and the event will see a total participation from 70 to 100 people from all across the travel trade fraternity which also includes media. Further to create a ‘work and play’ environment, we will host themed dinners like Himachali Night, Punjabi Night and the gala Sufi Night that would not just add an element of entertainment to this trip but will also promote the true essence of Himachali culture in the best ways possible,” Bawa adds.
The event would be graced by Vinod Kumar I.A.S, Deputy Commissioner Solan who would also inaugurate the B2B conference on March 17. The guest of honours for the day would include Madhusudan, Superintendent of Police Solan, Vivek Chandel, Add. District Magistrate, Solan and Vivek Chauhan, District Tourism Officer, Solan accompanied by Ashwani Gupta, Chairman – TAAI Punjab Chapter, Ashish Sehgal, Chairman Trade Show-ADTOI and Anil Anand- Chairman – TAAI Chandigarh Chapter.
