Royal Jordanian Airlines announce the launch of new non-stop routes connecting Amman with Mumbai and New Delhi. The Mumbai route will operate four times weekly from April 17, 2025, while the New Delhi route will begin on September 17, 2025. These new services are part of Royal Jordanian’s ongoing expansion strategy, aiming to position Jordan as a premier tourism destination for the Indian market and enhance connectivity to over 45 global destinations.

In line with the “Explore Jordan” programme, the new routes reflect Royal Jordanian’s commitment to showcasing Jordan as a distinctive tourist destination. From the ancient wonders of Petra and the Dead Sea to the modern vibrancy of Amman, the airline offers Indian travellers an authentic Arabian experience just five hours away. Royal Jordanian seeks to introduce Indian passengers to Jordan’s diverse culture while positioning itself as a boutique airline that connects cultures and destinations.
Karim Makhlouf, Chief Commercial Officer at Royal Jordanian Airlines, commented, "The launch of our new routes to Mumbai and New Delhi marks a significant milestone in our strategy to promote Jordan as a tourism destination for the Indian market. The new direct connection between Jordan and India will also increase the bilateral trade and economic link between both countries."
A significant milestone in enhancing global connectivity
Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) also expressed its enthusiasm for the collaboration: "Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) is thrilled to welcome Royal Jordanian Airlines as they launch the inaugural service from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) connecting Mumbai and Amman. This exciting new route, set to commence in March 2025, with 04 weekly flights, marks a significant milestone in enhancing global connectivity and offering seamless travel options for various segments of passengers."
Flights will be operated by the new A320neo aircraft, featuring dual-class configurations and enhanced in-flight entertainment options.
