In order to showcase its diversified offerings to the South Asian market, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), alongside Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and 24 co-exhibitors, participated in the recently held SATTE 2025, a premier travel and tourism exhibition.

According to a press statement by the ATB, the event, held in New Delhi from February 19-21, provided an invaluable platform for expanding business collaborations, engaging with industry leaders, and positioning Azerbaijan as a top destination for Indian travellers.

With global participation from 50 countries, 28 state tourism boards, and over 2,000 exhibitors, SATTE 2025 provided an opportunity for Azerbaijan to showcase its expanding tourism landscape. Elchin Huseynli, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to India, visited the “Experience Azerbaijan” stand, reaffirming the robust diplomatic and tourism ties between the two nations.

The statement adds that visitors to the Azerbaijan stand were immersed in the country’s rich cultural heritage through an authentic hospitality experience.

It adds that visitors savoured traditional shekerbura, pakhlava, and aromatic Azerbaijani tea, offering a taste of the nation’s deep-rooted culinary traditions. These elements underscored Azerbaijan’s ability to seamlessly blend historical charm, adventure, and modern luxury—a combination that resonates strongly with Indian travellers.

The statement adds that Azerbaijan’s growing popularity among Indian travellers is backed by enhanced air connectivity, with 14 weekly direct flights operated by Azerbaijan Airlines and IndiGo, linking Delhi and Mumbai to Baku.

To further simplify travel, Indian visitors can obtain an e-VISA within three days, with expedited processing available in as little as 3-5 hours, ensuring a hassle-free journey.
