In a highly anticipated and closely watched election, the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has announced its new leadership team for the 2025–27 term. With a strong voter turnout and a clear mandate, the members of IATO have elected a dynamic team of experienced professionals to lead the association into its next chapter.

New IATO Office Bearers (2025–27):
1. President: Ravi Gosain (263 votes)

2. Sr. Vice President: Rajnish Kaistha (250 votes)

3. Vice President: Sanjay Razdan (253 votes)

4. Honorary Secretary: Sunil Mishra (253 votes)

5. Honorary Treasurer: Deepak Kumar Bhatnagar (254 votes)

6. Honorary Joint Secretary: Viney Tyagi (229 votes)

The newly elected team has received a strong mandate from IATO’s diverse and growing membership base, signaling confidence in their vision and leadership for the future of India’s tourism sector.

Executive Committee – Active Members:
The following members have been elected to the Executive Committee from the Active category:

  1. Harish Mathur: 248 votes
  2. Tony Marwah: 240 votes
  3. Manoj Kumar Matta: 222 votes
  4. Sehgal Jose: 221 votes
  5. Rishi Kapoor: 206 votes

Executive Committee – Allied Members:

  1. P. Vijayasarthy: 276 votes
  2. Ashok Dhoot: 261 votes
  3. Wasim Shaikh: 171 votes

While the newly elected team secured decisive wins across all positions, the election saw a spirited contest from the opposing candidates, who garnered substantial support. Former Sr. Vice President Amaresh Tiwari received 124 votes in the presidential race, while Rajesh Mudgill polled 134 votes for Sr. Vice President. In other key contests, E.M. Najeebreceived 133 votes for Vice President, Lally Mathews earned 134 votes for Secretary, and Naresh K. Sharma secured 129 votes for Treasurer. For the position of Joint Secretary, Atul Rai received a commendable 156 votes. Although unsuccessful, their active participation and contribution to IATO’s democratic process were appreciated by members.

The new team takes charge at a pivotal time for the Indian travel and tourism industry, with renewed optimism post-pandemic and an increasing focus on international outreach, digital transformation, and sustainable growth.
